We have a race tomorrow. Blue has been off barrels for a week and a half for trail riding and I think this really refreshed him. And this is my 2nd time loping Stately through so.... yea. Wish me luck tomorrow :) I feel pretty confident about these 2 horses. Not to mention Blue has a popped splint so he's injured but he's not showing it

  • Not trying to be mean.. I mean your a REALLY GOOD RIDER, but the horn is NOT meant to be held onto... holding onto the horn won't help you stay on, it will just ruin the saddle, if you hold the horn and do all that turning you may eventually rip it off!! But great job!! Learn to hold on with your legs not with the horn, other than that!! Your awesome!!!

  • i usually dont hold onto it. i used to run without it but my friend told me to drop outside rein and grab the horn when you turn. i was just to lazy to pick my rein back up because the next turn was left anyways

  • I love blue. He is soo pretty. I love his short little tail

  • he is my BABY. thanks :) and funny story, 2 years ago my little aussie would jump up on his hind legs and rip the hair out of his tail. its grown about 6 inches since she stopped. lol

  • you are a good barrel racer!

  • thanks. i believe its more the horse though :) and i didnt have my boots or spurs so i had to ride in merrils. lol

  • you are supposed to hold onto the horn... I would let him run! he knows what he is doing. but great job!

  • i think you did great:) and yes, while turning you are supposed to hold the horn, so it sounds like someone that commented this does not know what they are talking about.
