Roland V-Accordion FR-2 (Played by Dominique Paats)

This is the new Roland Fr-2!! The newest and smallest of the FR series V-Accordions are the FR-2 (model with piano type keyboard) and the FR-2B (model with button keyboard). The FR-2/2B was developed for live performers as well as hobby musicians, beginners and young people.

Main characteristics:

- Longer batterylife (approx. 5 hours)
- V-Accordion without speaker (we recommend the lightweight yet powerful CM-30 as external amplifier)
- SONG-function (8 internal songs) with Minus One (disable one part), controllable expression by means of the bellows
- PAD-function allows to play percussion sounds via the Bass Register-buttons, also in combination with the Bass and Chord buttons
- Record loops with the PAD-function
- 8 Accordion Sets
- 8 User Program Registrations
- Easy control thanks to the light emitting rubber Register-buttons for high and low tones
- Exchangeable Inlay Sheet with transparent acrylic cover. The user can choose from 6 included Inlay Sheets or can create his own design
- Sergio Scappini's V-Accordion Tutorial book and Tutorial DVD included

Hallo Dominique.Mooie demo. Ik speel ook accordeon, pianoklavier.Maar ik heb nu ook een knopaccordeon,waarop ik dus hard aan het studeren ben om daarop te kunnen spelen.Ik wil een FR-1B kopen.Mooie combi met m'n keyboard.Kan je met de bassen via midi de akkoorden van de begeleiding aansturen? lijkt me leuk om zo bijvoorbeeld La Meuse te spelen.Dat doe ik nu door de begeleiding eerst in te spelen. En, wanneer komt je volgende CD uit? De eerste heb ik geloof ik al grijs gedraaid...Groeten, Maurice

Bedankt dat je mijn stuk 'la Meuse' zo mooi vind! De FR1b is momenteel de kleinste en lichtste V-Accordeon. Ook met deze versie kun je een keyboard aansturen. Ga eens langs bij je locale Roland dealer voor een demo!!

The glissando is just pulling your fingers in a stable position in a direction over the keyboard.

Recorded simulations of them, you mean. There's a difference, right? Musicians spend years learning to get subtly different tones and feelings... With MIDI, that's all lost. It's a kind of musical poverty---and it's considered normal now.

(I keep thinking of Bill Murray's "lounge singer" routine on SNL, where he gave the drum machine a solo. :?D )

Maybe it's just me, but the idea of playing things like string sections on an accordion seems incredibly corny. And I'm an accordionist!

I'm not just trying to be negative... Whatever music people like, and however they produce it, is up to them. But when I see and hear things like this, I cringe in embarrassment, frankly... This seems like a toy, at best, and I'm amazed anyone would take it more seriously.
