I think mimicking apple to some degree and having hardware specific to the system will be a good strategy, but also keeping the ability to install AROS on any computer. AROS so far has worked on my Compaq with an AMD and Nvidia graphics, my compaq with an Intel Pentium with ATI graphics, and my iMac/Macbook with Intel and ATI/Nvidia graphics cards. it is most buggy on the AMD/Nvidia system though. Old mix-matched hardware I think.

It is just a step on the road to a machine worthy of Amiga name, long way to go though.

Don't recognise the case - whose is iot? I recognise the mobo from the backplane - single core Atom then? Looks fab!
This is absolutely amazing!!! I never thought I would see a true potential resurrection of Amiga. The system looks aesthetically beautiful.

@anyedge
Thanks, not really what I would call an Amiga yet but in time I hope we can build an x86 machine deserving of the name Amiga.

Looks nice, but ... no input audio connector?

There is no external record connector but there is an HDAudio port on the board, so when I decide to make the expansion board, I can add this. It could be easily added though.
