  • purely awesome!

I dunno... maybe, somewhere at the back of my head, I get what you mean. Maybe it's the octaves and backbeat harmonies that aren't there in Apoc's arrangement?

But the section that follows directly after sounds better in the original :D

But yea, no need to discuss that forever :)

Cult and Inquisition Symphony are their highlights imo - but there are some real gems on the other albums, too.

  • @twooffour Damn, I can't just point it exactly - hey, look here. Maybe... 1:27 - 1:40 ...? It's something that I just feel. And I'm not listening this song for the first time - I've been visiting her video for months, so it's more like general feeling. About Reflections - quick re-listen and you're right. However, my favourite EP is Cult, I didn't like anything more than that so far, save Bittersweet Symphony, and that's for different reasons.

Home cameras usually have mics that SUUUCK big time.

To my ears, it's even blander, without the power and crispiness. Sounds overall messy and "amateurish".

If you want "emotion", check out vkgoeswild's Master of Puppets cover. I dislike some of her other covers, but this one is pretty good.

She adds some "rubato" and fluent dynamics, which takes away from the "machine-gun power" of the original, but adds a different type of "emotion" and energy.

But yea, ymmv on questions like that.

  • @Vatharian

I agree, the poor sound quality of an average "home camera" is a minus - but having that said, you don't need studio equipment in order to make a piano (or any acoustic instrument) to sound good :)

Having that said, I agree that Apoc's original lacks emotion (the song itself is a bit bland, and so is their general playing style starting with "Reflections" - there are obviously exceptions, though) - however, I personally don't feel any of that lacking "emotion" in this performance.

  • @twooffour remember, it's not recorded in studio! It depends also, how much you like this style of playing. I like it very much, and her arrangement is better in some ways, it has something emotional. Apoc's original has just power, no emotion... Well that's what >I< feel - can't blame me for being 'wrong'! ;)

  • @jkamaniac

No, it's not. The original is crisp and tight, this sounds more like banging with too much pedal. Not bad, though.

  • They needed four cellos for same you got with a piano. And I can feel something more from your playing. Definitely I like it better... than original. I love your covers!

  • LoL... It is fake!!!!It's been grafting!!!!!! LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL
