Dinner With Henry is a rare, 30-minute documentary about Henry Miller. It is exactly what the title implies: footage of Henry having dinner. With him at the table is the film crew, and actress/model Brenda Venus, to whom Henry was enamoured in the final years of life. Henry - at age 87 - spends the majority of his time speaking on a number of subjects, the most persistent of which is Blaise Cendrars. Occasionally, he complains about the food. That is all. It may not be of much interest to a general audience, but is a curious "slice of life" for any Miller fan who likes to imagine being at the table with him.

Who the hell is Brenda Venus? I'm guessing she was selected to participate in this documentary for her pretty face. She asks some very silly questions and is so tense in Miller's presence, for the obvious reason that she's a bimbo. But I bet she would have screwed Miller on that dinner table if he had been 40 years younger.

I've read that Miller had seen her picture somewhere and had asked to meet her. Apparently they tried to have sex once, but because of his age, it didn't come to much. Miller just liked to have attractive women around him, and because of his fame, was able to indulge himself.

@pocahaunted Coelo is the worst, I read '11 Minutes' and 'the Alchemist' and I didnt see any talent whatsoever! His writing is not consistant and overally cheesey at times. I like his philosphy but come on, he's no Henry Miller!
