This could really, really, be the good life.
So last weekend we moved Rhuie to Legacy Farms. I just cannot get over how lucky I am to have had this opportunity, it is incredible here. I knew it was going to be a wonderful place with wonderful people and horses, but I never thought I would feel this at home this fast. And same with Rhuie, he has been at the same barn for almost two years and he settled in just fine, he is a pretty chill guy :).
I have already met all of the borders and their horses and they are so kind and welcoming, I am very blessed to be here, once again. I do believe so many opportunities will arise from this experience. There is already one next weekend. J Ashton Moore is coming to give a clinic on Saturday and Sunday. Unfortunately, I do not have enough money to afford riding in the clinic, but I will be able to audit and still learn a lot! I am very excited about that! And he comes back every several months, so maybe next time I will get to ride!
My horse has just continued to amaze me more and more. The bareback riding in this was his first full day there. We brought him to Legacy the night before and the next day I go out and hop on him bareback and he is wonderful! I rode him every day this week, as it was spring break which is now over :(, and he just kept getting better and better! I am so happy, Wednesday we worked on first level movements such as leg yields, lengthenings, loops, change of rein at the canter and he was phenomenal! All I can say is next year is a definite first level :)...
Well, no need to make this long, I think I have covered about everything, just remember how lucky each of us are to even be able to be around horses, whether you own or not, take lessons or not, you are lucky. We are all lucky. Things could be much worse.
Ohhhhh, and I must add, GOOOOO BUTLER BULLDAWGS :D(where I would dream of going to college)!!!! Yes, Butler University is going to the nationals tomorrow night, whose watching :D? I AM!
It is amazing enough that a little school whose known for their music and performing arts section made it to the final four, let alone nationals:D, so us hoosiers are pumped :)
Well, I am off to ride Rhuie and then Joker and do stupid homework they gave us on spring break :( It is so windy and stormy out, it sounds like the roof is going to fly off :P Adios :)
It´s lovely!
