Hey man you're just going to have to deal with it. Back when you were young i bet most peoples parents hated this kinda music or hated the covers those bands did of their favorite music. Blink-182 did a great cover of this and I'd listen to both versions any time. Remember you were youth once too.. Rebellious, stubborn, angsty, wreckless... some older artist make covers of more recent bands anyway like Johnny cash covering hurt by nine inch nails. As for calling us poofs... you have me there...
