As a metropolitan city, Budapest has many of the same entertainment staples as larger European and American cities expats are used to. Those in the mood for music can find a wide variety of live music, whether it is instrumental, opera, or contemporary. Just released films can be found in the many cinemas in the city center, while festivals in the summer months close down streets and feature crafts for sale, live music, and festivities for the kids. Restaurants abound and provide classic Hungarian dishes, along with many international recipes. The night life is one of Budapest's best attributes, making it a hot spot for singles and the younger generations. Depending on your preferred entertainment, it won't be hard to have a good time in this burgeoning city.
