**Notes -
The music for the 'Pas de trois pour la Fées d'Or, d'Argent et de Saphir' was originally supposed to accompany a variation for only the Silver Fairy. Petipa's instructions to Tchaikovsky requested that " ... the sound of coins must be heard" in the music, which the composer did in the most ingenius way with piano & flute on the main melody (some productions omit the piano). Petipa cut a variation for the Sapphire Fairy in 5/4 that also included piano (the tempo represented the 5 points of the Sapphire). Petipa relocated the music for the Gold Fairy's variatiob to the "Vision scene" to accompamy a solo for Carlotta Brianza (the first Aurora). In light of these changes, Petipa re-arraged things so that the Silver Fairy's music would serve as a pas de trois for the Gold, Silver & Sapphire Fairies. Over the years some productions have restored the original pieces, particularly the Royal Ballet's version as well as Nureyev's.
Who are all those people? O.o

I always found funny the fact that they invited Carabosse to the wedding (rats included) after all she had done, but at least they managed not to stumble over the same stone twice. :P
7:07 And I just love that golden birdcage where they keep the Canari Fairy during the marche. Oh Petipa, je t'aime à la folie!

It's interesting to see all the small fast foot work which most of these girls can't do because they are to tall and slow..... tereshkina was amazing though!
