Paul Allen's Yacht the Octopus.

Octopus is currently the world's eighth largest superyacht, owned by Paul Allen, the co-founder of Microsoft, to whom it was delivered in 2003. Octopus is the second largest superyacht that is not owned by a head of state, measuring 414 feet (126 m).

Octopus has two helicopters on the top deck (one in front and one on the back), and a 63-foot (19 m) tender docked in the transom (one of seven aboard). The yacht also has a pool on board, located aft on one of her upper decks, and two submarines: one operated by remote control for studying the bottom of the ocean. Side hatches at the water line form a dock for jet skis.

The exterior was designed by Espen Øino Naval Architects and built by the German shipbuilders Lürssen in Bremen and HDW in Kiel. Her hull is made of steel. The interior was designed by American designer Jonathan Quinn Barnett of Seattle.

@mdr8088 You know how many people have jobs because of this boat?? I wouldnt be surprised if the crew is at least 50 people, full time, all year long. Then there is the boat company, the dock taxes, the fuel...all of that is money that goes back to the economy. Plus Paul Allen has already given more than $400M in his lifetime.

When Allen arrives at the Rose Garden his security people make sure that nobody that is not cleared by them is on the event level near him. I was unfortunate enough to be walking out of a room, after doing some IT work, and the security dudes forced me back into the room until he passed. He basically has his own version of secret service.

Several years ago Paul A. was down in Portland at a Blazer game and his limo had a problem. So the billionaire solution to car trouble was to wake his Boeing 757 jet crew up and fly down to Portland from Seattle. Then charter a helicopter from the Rose Garden to PDX. The car trouble was a fuse that had effected the tail lights, or something of that nature.
