Julie is a 1975 Hindi film that starred Laxmi in the title role. It also starred Vikram, Nadira, in an award winning role, and Sridevi as a child star. The film became a box office hit.

Julie was also a musical hit, with award winning music by Rajesh Roshan which won him the Filmfare Award for the year. It had one of the first English language songs in an Indian film - My Heart is Beating, sung by Preeti Sagar.

It is a rare Hindi film based around an Anglo-Indian family.

"Julie" was the remake of Malayalam hit Chattakari (1974) that also starred Laxmi. She would star in yet another remake, the Telugu film, Miss Julie Prema Katha (1975). In 2006, "Julie" was remade in Kannada with Ramya in the title role, and Dino Morea as her lover, though the film wasn't a success.

Kishore Kumar ( Hindi: किशोर कुमार) (August 4, 1929 October 13, 1987) was Indian film playback singer and actor. Along with Mukesh and Mohammed Rafi, he dominated Indian film playback music from the 1950s to the 1970s. Kumar also achieved notable success as a lyricist, composer, producer, director, screenwriter and scriptwriter.

Kishore Kumar was a prolific vocalist and sang in many Indian languages including Hindi, Bengali, Marathi, Assamese, Gujarati, Kannada, Bhojpuri, Malayalam and Oriya. He is also widely regarded as the most versatile singer in the history of Indian cinema and a maverick of sorts for lending his voice to songs that did not conform to the norms of the day.

In October 1987, he died following a massive heart attack. He had been married four times and is survived by his two sons Amit Kumar, who made his career in playback singing in Bollywood and Bengali films, and Sumit Kumar.

  • nice and good collection of song

  • @kanojiyasandeep9 - You are most welcome, my dear friend.

  • Hello Yuan. TY. Rajesh Roshan's name was on the MD name but he took help from LP, KA and other MD's. All young MD's had worked for his late father, Roshanlal as instrumentalists in 50's & 60's. They all felt indebted to Roshanlal. Rajesh does not know much music. He wiggles his baton while music is playing..just as the snake moves around when the "Been" player begins to move his head. And they think the snake is dancing...LOL.

And who is this "Child Molester Wanna Be" of Laxmi? No name?

  • @RealMusicKing - The actor here is Vikram.

By the way, I am surprised about what you have written of Rajesh Roshan!

  • thanks yuanyuanyuanyin!! ur efforts r commendable!!! have a look at the song!! so much of sensuality!!!!there is thin line of difference between sensuality and vulgarity. the director should know what he wants.....if the same were to be taken today, u would have seen bare backs and almost semi nude pictures..its wonderfull how one can depict sensuality without getting vulgar.... a lesson or two to be learnt for the directors of today!!!!

  • @15rsvp - Again, very nice comment, my dear friend. Thank you.

I am not going to say anything more..............

    Hope you understand!

    Take care, my dear fiend.
