This is a Toyota Prius, that I rented while in Florida, in EV mode. My first time driving a car with EV capability.

  • Videos without commentary are BORING....

  • @hottubbrad Well, in case you didn't notice, this was one of the first few videos I made when I came to YT... Let me go back in time and make a commentary just to please YOU !!! Besides, How much commontary do you need ??? It's a Prius in the EV Mode !

  • hey S Sparks555 how far could you go in EV mode ? thanks

  • You could go from 0 to 43 mph in EV mode, depending on your needed tourch. If you you were on a flat surface, you could do well. If you were on an incline, staying in EV mode would be hard. As far as range (miles) I really dont know.

  • PRIUSSS POWER!

  • Hi SSparks - I want to tell you what a great thing this video Is - THANKS

oh and thanks for staying tuned!!

    PEACE

  • Yeah. I'm sure. =(

  • They are not slow though. I drive a gas guzzling S500. Jeesh! It's fast as hell, but if I could sell it with gas prices where they are now, I would in a heartbeat. No takers at -20 MPG, at best... and that gas pedal? OH! The moment you step hard, you are doomed!)

The Prius isn't slow by any stretch. No, it's no race car, but' it keeps up with traffic without any distractions whatsoever.

  • The saddest thing about comming back home was having to turn the car back in. That was, untill I got the bill, lol. But it was so worth it.

  • This one got 50 MPG while in FL. I flew into Tampa and drove to Dundee, FL (1 1/2 hrs) and never turned the radio or the A/C on just so I could hear how quiet this car was. This car feels bigger on the inside than it looks on the outside. I have an '02 Malibu and the Prius felt like it had more room, eventhough the Prius is much smaller, on the outside than the Malibu. The Prius does have good pickup. Although, you can tell, this car was not designed for speed.
