Wet parachute_now what

After landing in the ditch, sitting in there as I soak up the water that is up to my chest, I realize no matter how much I try, I can't get out and my gear is getting wet.

I knew then I needed a repack of my reserve parachute, but had no idea if my AAD battery was also going to be ruined.
Turns out, I got everything dried, repacked and my AAD worked another few months after that. Despite a battery change, it was done_nothing helped.

I could not jump without a reliable AAD, so i was grounded until I got a new one.
This was truly an expensive 'water jump".
