  • Ive got this kit, pretty good but i was expecting it to be good as td-9 but td-9 has better sounds...

I dont like the cymbal sounds and the tom sounds in the module honestly, snare sounds are v cool but toms and cymbals, very cheap... =/

  • well, that's one of the reasons I'm using superior drummer to generate the sounds.

But remember that the TD-8 has been on the market very long now, and was one of the first decent sounding edrums with realistic playability.

I would disappointed in Roland if their TD-9 was not an improvement. ;)

  • ho wow >_< weird watching a left handed kit haha, never really watched self handed :P

  • i want samekind of kit o_o nice sounds

  • Agreed.

  • good sound!!

  • Nice set and and great playing

  • I can go down to 2ms with my creative audigy2 card. But then I get hickups sometimes.

  • Okay, thanks for that. My X-Fi manages 1ms very well with sample-based compositions, but somehow I anticipate a different story with something like S2.0 loaded up. What sort of latency are you getting with DFH?

  • well that depends - triggering superior drummer in realtime doesn't really work for me because of latency. I have a low latency card, but still I notice it and I sort of adjust my feel to correct for it. So the way I use it is that I record in midi with the TD8 sounds and then process the track afterwards. It might work with a professional card.....

If I'd had to choose today, I'd definitely go for the TD-12 instead of the TD-20.
