"Show Me the Way to Go Home" is a folk song and drinking tune. It was made famous with its 1925 adaptation by the pseudonymous "Irving King" (the British songwriting team James Campbell and Reginald Connelly). It tells the story of an intoxicated bar patron trying to go home after a night of drinking. It is believed of English origin but has spread to Ireland and North America, where it is also commonly sung.

  • I love watching this man sing this song! He reminds me of everything that is good and fun and wholesome! What neat nostalgia; I find myself singing the tune all day with him in my mind. This guy has got to be a wonderful grandpa! Dan in Toledo. PS - I was a kid when Jaws came out and it was the first time I ever heard the song. Have never stopped singing it since! Thanks for the fun.
