I don't think we are capable enough of destroying mother earth. Earth has been here since billions of years, it can recover from the mayhem we have created and will still be here when we no longer exist. Its 'US', the human species which is now endangered. I laugh every time they say 'Save Earth' because its essentially 'US' that we are trying to save!

@initin I agree with you, initin. I think the same way you think, people just don't think about the future and they don't care about our planet. A few people in the world care for Mother Earth, people should donate money to help naturalists and we should be aware because we are polluting our planet. The human race is making a grave mistake by burning fossil fuels rapidly. If we destroy Mother Earth then where are we going to go?

Proves whats real? Are you kidding? You need to be waaaaay more critical of that. How can you simply say one study is right and disregard another study that says the opposite thing? One story is not "the truth."

Okay so the temp is rising...is it natural? Apparently it can be, you just proved yourself wrong.
Anyhow, a better question is what can we do (if anything) about it?

Its not whether global warming is real, I think thats relatively obvious but the questions that need to be asked are:
Are we actually causing it (yes I have seen the film, but I also researched all of the data he uses, a lot of it is bunk)
and Can we actually do anything about it? Bjorn Lambourg argues that if we spent (I dont remember the exact number) something like A billion dollars a day, we would only delay the affects of global warming by a week after a century.
The point here is not El Gore.
Look around yourself, we have made everything filthy. The air is not clean, food is not natural and more n more species are getting extinct.
We are like a virus, consuming this planet as we speak. Within a century the population of earth has more than doubled, the cities are getting bigger and how long do you think the humans will survive with limited resources?

Wow I 've never heard anyone react the same way I did to this...I thought the film was incredible, as is Al Gore, I think more people need to wake up and pay attention to this, if they won't do anything than they can at least listen. I felt almost compelled to do something to help, right after I watched it I made a list of things that I could do and then joined some global warming awareness groups lol. I'm glad we're not alone in this :)
