Got cut off at 10:00 unfortunately. There's not much more though and I think this gives more than enough reasons why you should check out more!

  • seen only 1196 STUPID HUMANITY!

  • Saruman38, His songs were too much provocative and he hated tv and the press in general, who were for him all sold to the power. He made no promotion at all ! He got success in 1957-63 when he sang french poets, in a marvellous way. He was an anarchist, as a boy he sang in choirs in churches. The lyrics of this song are incredibly clever and deep. "Mercy, Lord, for our miserable situation". Very severe social crictics and in the end "Get down, Lord, from our stupidity!". lol

  • I love this album and was so happy that I was able to get the CD to replace my long-lost vinyl. I noted that this posting includes the high-pitched ringing tone that is also on my CD. Most of the time it sounds like a defect in the recording, or is it deliberate. I don't remember it from the old recording.

  • I must say I find it surprising that you got interested in this French artist, who is quite miskown here in France. Unfortunately, he is only known for a couple of songs, especially "Avec le temps" and "C'est extra", which are of course very beautiful songs, but which do not reflect all the talent that this guy is gifted with. Just check out songs like "L'Espoir" or "Les Amants tristes" here on youtube to see his creativity in both orchestration and interpretation.
