This is an Iron Man 2 Arc Reactor toy, in which I "hacked" (I didn't do too much really) the output of it to plug into a guitar effect processor. I don't show how to do it, but it is very easy.
Open it up via the screws on the outside of the body (on the back). There are two blue wires going to the speaker marked "SP1" and "SP2". I took an old pair of headphones and lobbed off the ear buds. I then stripped the wires and soldered them to the same place the blue wires hook up to the main board. It wasn't the easiest (due to my inexperience) but it didn't take long.
That is it! If you have any questions let me know!
The audio output did decrease out of the toys speaker. My guess is I did something wrong, or the extra wire "pulls" the signal enough to decrease the output.
I could see using this as a cool extra effect during a live show.
Maybe if you remove the toy's original speaker completely and just have your wires coming out. when I record audio from toys I tap onto the speaker connections WITH the speaker intact b/c if I just hooked to the speaker out on the toy it will overdrive my PC's sound card and be distorted so the original speaker in my case knocks down the output enough so I can record the audio from the toy. so do the OPPOSITE of that I do.
