pretty inmature for your age, why do you even bother watching/commenting if this is so boring? Don't you have a life?

I agree with most of what everyone is saying, however, it was not ment to be a bomber, which Hitler wanted. Also it was so fast that it had a enormous turn radius which ment that it was not good in a dog fight, but it did knock down two B-17 Bombers in one pass. This was an epic plane. This engine design is what the world uses, although more advanced now, it is what the world uses today. The Germans do and always will make excellant products! A++ vid!!

@transmission18 ..,no it isn't dude.
The UK operated the Meteor jet fighter equip'd with a 1943'-1944' W2B/23C Welland ( Whittle W.2 ) series engine which has nothing to do with a Me 262' Jumo 004' jet engine?
The Rolls-Royce RB.41 Nene was a 1940s British centrifugal compressor turbojet engine nothing to do with Jumo 004 jet engine.
The Nene not a Jumo 004' was reverse-engineered to produce Russia’s first jet engine, the Klimov VK-1 MiG-15 fighters and Ilyushin Il-28 bombers.

Those engiens only had a 5 hour lifespan....one of the downfalls of the Me-262, after a maximum of 6 hours, both of them had to be totally replaced with new ones.

that is incorrect, the Jumo 004 turbojets had a lifespan of approximatly 25 hours and required a major overhaul every 8 hours which was due to the lack of quality material which wasn't available anymore at the end of the war.

Well I'd like to think that my grandfather is correct, because he was part of the ground team stationed at JG7 in late 1944. He said they were supposed to have a 30 hour life, but pilots kept the throttles at 100% duing takeoff and during attacks so it decreased the actual time to about 5-7 hours. before his team went and replaced the engines.

where they dealing with the Jumo 004's or the BMW 003's ...cause every reference i have and know keeps to the longer lifespan... btw my grandfather was with the KG51 ;)
