Actually, Michaels has lost at SummerSlam. Back in 1990, he and Marty Janetty lost to Power (Hercules Hernandez) and Glory (Paul Roma) in a tag match.
Michaels had a knee injury. Herc jumped him before the match started, hitting his knee with a chain. Janetty had to go it alone and held his own. But, he eventually got pinned.

Too bad all of the backstage bullshit led to Shawn Michaels ruining the match. Hogan the character: great.
