  • NOT DRUGS PLEASE

  • @LanceHertford L.S.D. can cause a huge amount of brain damage depending on what you took and how much i had a good freind took it once he has never been the same if you kept your mind in check you were o.k. but if you let go and ended up on a bad trip it was bad news it is the only drug i will not fuk with

  • No, not right Lance. We have never had prohibition here in Australia as you had in the States from 1880 - 1920. There was a 17 year period in one Territory from 1910 and there are some dry communities in the Northern Territory. My point is that in the 60s when I was a teenager, alcohol was no big deal. Our family drank a glass of wine with dinner sometimes and with celebrations such as weddings and Christmas and it was not the huge industry that it is here now. Kids now drink spirits to pass out

  • @moundcitymohillbilly Bikers did. Called it "cat piss dope", right? Probably a different scene, and not too well known- although it had been invented many decades before that by the Japanese, and used by troops in WW2 to stay awake.

  • @53cateye1 Did you guys grow up with a general impression about alcohol that was influenced by the fact it had only become legal again several decades before? I mean, I'd imagine a lot of the exaggerated anti-alcohol rhetoric had to still be fresh in some peoples' minds, right? I mean with your parents and grandparents.

  • @martha1spur LSD does no permanent damage, it's not addictive, and you can't overdose on it. Now, that being said, it can sure as hell make you think you're gonna die. But still, no permanent damage to anyone using it then. Heroin, I agree, but if all opiates were legal for recreational sale and usage, you'd have a whole arsenal of them to gently stair-step down off of addiction, compared to going cold-turkey. Just saying. Not saying heroin addiction is a good thing.

  • @dictator54 So, what was it like then, to be experimenting with things like LSD and pot, and science not being sure what they might permanently do to you? That had to be a trip. You guys didn't even know if they were safe. So much nicer today, knowing neither can overdose you. You kids in the 60's and 70's had a lot more risk-taking behavior then, I'll say that. God, the shit my dad tells me. Dodging trains and such.

  • @cAlexanderrrr I've heard that five people died. Two of them like you said, and the other three fom heart attack.
