My sister was involved in a similar accident, except it was a car in front of her. The guy was going 50 mph when he hit my sister at a stop, but veered away in time and only "knicked" the left rear side of the car. but just the small area hit pushed my sister's car, with the brakes applied, 5 feet into the truck in front of her, her car actually skidded and did a little jump and the front-end went up under the truck in front of her, pushing it up as well.
So I'd say that's realistic.
