Ashley Alan Cooper (11 July 1980 25 February 2008) Cooper suffered severe head and internal injuries after crashing his Holden VZ Commodore into a guard rail at over 200 km/h during the Fujitsu V8 Supercars Series race at the Clipsal 500 in Adelaide on 23 February 2008 - subsequently causing his death. RIP

Mark "Didley" Porter (2 October 1974 - 8 October 2006) On October 6, 2006, during Bathurst 1000, Porter lost control of his car at Sulman Park at nearly 200 km/h. He stalled in the middle of the track. David Clark, in an effort to avoid the stalled Porter, slid his car sideways whilst travelling at high speed. Porter died later in hospital with serious head and chest injuries. RIP

  • @kulspotify Nobody needs your religious bullshit, life is for following your dreams no-matter how dangerous. It's called having courage. Hiding behind your sofa covered in bubble wrap living in fear of death is more cowardice.

  • HOW DID THAT BLUE CAR MISS THE FIRST WRECK???

  • Ashley die from that impact?

  • @kulspotify

Can you sound any more judgemental and ignorant? Every self-respecting racing driver accepts there's a risk of death or serious injury but they do not "deliberately waste their lives". Get off your high horse and stop judging people by standards of perfection you probably don't live up to yourself.

  • @mxwake ty ^^

  • These people died doing what they loved, doesn't make it any less tragic, My uncle die doing the sport he loved and i know he would rather it that way than old and decreped. i would rather live a happy and short life then boring and long one

  • Must they deliberately waste their lives?I hate this sport a great deal. Moreover, it's a sin in the sight of God to sacrifice one's life for pleasure or for monetary value. For crying out loud there are various reasonable ways of making a living.I'm sure they all know the risk it involves before venturing into it.

  • the tragic part is, they do this with full knowledge that this kind of accident will happen. i love racing cars but it is stop when i get married and having kids.. just got to know what is your priority in this life. still love racing but now at PS3 hehe safer!
