Nice work again! By the way, what is the inner diameter of your metal lugs? Thanks! Reply or email me at bikengineer@yahoo.com. Thanks, Lex

@bikengineer whatever the diameter on the lugs, you can match that by shaving some off from the bamboo tubes,

Well i live in Las Vegas, NV so there wasnt much of a choice as far as bamboo, but i used what i could find. The Key is drying it, for my first bamboo frame i used a torch to dry it, but for this frame i let the bamboo sit in my backyard for several months during summer, And i think aging it is better.

@rustymetalz Nice work! Would you share where you purchased your 4130 steel lugs or did you use an existing bike frame? Did you ride the bike and find any safety issues of the bamboo coming out of the lugs?

@bikengineer i rode it, jump it, cranked as hard as i can and no issues with the bondage. I used two part epoxy and added carbon fiber dust or little cuts and mixed it. BUT PREPARATIONS OF BOTH THE BAMBOOO AND THE CROMOLY NEEDS TO BE CONSIDERED, both need a very rough serfice. Hope this helps
