Our Response to Burn a Koran Day

In July of this year, the Dove World Outreach Center in Gainesville, Florida announced September 11 this year would be "Burn a Koran Day." We believe that the burning of a Koran, or any other book, while it may be within the rights of free speech, is a tasteless and disturbing gesture that only communicates contempt and ignorance. Instead, we invite the international community to celebrate "Read a Book Day." Burning books has never made a society better, but reading them has.

I think more americans should actually read the Koran. It's not fair to point out all of their violent doctrine and at the same time promote the destruction of the evidence for that teaching. Islam (though not all Muslims) is a violent religion, its founder and history attest to that. Better to read their book and understand where their motivations for violence come from. Know thy enemy.

You can't say that 9/11 was an inside job, there is no evidence for it. But, you always have to have a critical mind when it comes to your own government. Take the murder of Osama for example, where is the evidence for that? They dumped his body in the ocean, that most be one of the ridiculous things I've heard. You don't dump a notorious terrorist leader in the ocean after killing him, you take pictures of his body to prove that he has been killed.

There is no one guiding your life. All religions are nothing more than weak minded idiots following some con man. Science explains how things work. Religion says magic makes things work. There is no magic. I was created by my parents, just as they were created by their parents. No magic needed.

@MrThespecialOne7 9/11 was NOT an inside job. It was done by a bunch of religious nutz to strike fear into the American people. Well, it worked. We're scared. Religious people flew those planes into those buildings. Crazy, mentally unbalanced, religious nutz! People who believe in a sky daddy, only because they can't handle reality.
