actually, there are ways to find out why lovebirds pick there feathers. It can be stress, a skin irritation from fragrences or something in their environment, other kinds of stresses, i do suggest taking them to a avian vetrinarian and asking them because they'll know and also talking to breeders in your area, they can be super helpful and informative.

Nice birds.

Lovebirds CAN talk but poorly. For example, I've seen a lovebird named Peaches who could say "PEACHES!" But keep in mind that they can't always mimic the words perfectly-- for whatever reason. Birds from a 2nd+ home are especially prone.
As per lovebirds: My ex kept Alfie and I kept Pharaoh (eclectus, not lovebird). Alfie had a mate that would pluck his feathers. One day she died. He has been happy since. Maybe they pluck each other? But it is an issue so don't ignore it forever

aww! i was wondering if u could aswer this question for me:
If i bought some lovebirds that had been potty trained by their previous owner, would they still be potty trained for me or only for their previous owner?

How big is their cage? If they're picking their feathers, they might need a bigger one/more space. :)
Cute vid!

Oh no. They do it more than Susie! And in the same spots.

That's old for a bird. I hope they live for a long time.

They're so cute. Mine are getting to be that old. Couple of their babies have developed feather plucking, though instead of it being a bad habit a couple of mine have mild cases of OCD when preening and they over pluck and preen their feathers
its a real pain if they make a mess on the keyboard, but for them its all worth it.

Usually they know they shouldn't make a mess on the keyboard, but a few times they have... now my down key doesn't work that well XD

I think I'll try that, I looked at the stores to see what different toys they could play with, but I wasn't sure what would be good..

Can lovebirds be trained to talk like macaws?

Not really, although lovebirds are smart, I don't think they have the physical capacity to do so. I've seen websites that say lovebirds can talk, but I've also read books that say they cannot. I'm not too sure, but generally it's not a common trait for a lovebird to talk
