[Please read] "I must say..." check out Martin Short in this video of goodwill and hilarity celebrating Second City's 50th anniversary and reviewing the gifted comedian's grooviest SCTV characterization: "Jackie Rogers, Jr."

All the male cast members of SCTV were terrific and talented. I dislike "playing favorites" among them, but I must admit I especially love Martin Short's brief, but memorable contributions to the show.

This video is dedicated to Martin, Andrea, Catherine, Joe, Dave, and Eugene. I hope your Second City 50th Anniversary Reunion appearances were a great and happy success!

  • I love this!! Martin Short is a comedy genius. I cannot stop laughing, thanks sooooo much for posting!

  • Can someone PLEASE post Jackie Rogers, Jr. 100,000 Jackpot Wad???

  • Is Jackie the father of Radiohead's singer?

  • Thanks for posting this. Too much.

  • @PoutinePete

Not in New York, at least.

  • Seriously, is there anyone funnier then Martin Short?

  • "Jackie, we hardly knew ye!"

  • Funnyman Bobby Bittman and the incomparable Jackie Rogers, Jr. on the same show. As Jackie would say, too much, man. Who would get top billing?

  • Jackie as Mic Jagger trying to talk the crowd down at Altamont and the Shriners doing security in place of the Hells Angels. Classic.

  • Isn't Jackie based on Sammy Davis, Jr.?
