Can't believe all the grief towards Julian in some of these comments... I love Albert's solo stuff but Phrazes for the Young is also amazing. Just because you prefer Albert Hammond Jr, you don't have to knock Julian Casablancas

Albert it amazing, both solo and in The Strokes. Julian is amazing too, but the rest of The Strokes do not even like him because he treats people like dicks, even his own friends. They didn't even record "Angles" together with Julian because they just don't like being around him. He needs to think about his live performances with The Strokes and either call it a day or look like he cares, and stop acting like an arrogant child.

holy fucking cow. I can't believe how many people are throwing Julian under the bus. If it weren't for Julian there would be no strokes, no Is This It, no Room on Fire, no Last impressions of earth. Julian is a legend with incomparable talent. Albert is also amazing, but in all actuality it was Julian who wrote all three of those albums and you simply can not take that away from him. He put his blood sweat and tears into the strokes. Do not disrespect him. A.H. is awesome too.

@stewardo julian's is just as good if not better. u can't compare their solo projects. they're two completely different styles. i love em both.

I don't know why Julian never let him write on the early Strokes albums. Maybe he didn't want to in the first place, but Al's solo project is MUCH better than Julian's. The actual music is, anyways. I can't wait for more
