Adoption Success Story - Luna (DUMA) & Powder - Siamese Cats

Luna aka Duma (pure Siamese) came into our shelter so fragile and scared. For months she did not warm up to anyone. Some of our volunteers started to work with her and realized that she was harmless. Once we realized that and forced her to be pet, she started responding and didn't want us to stop. She was adopted by a very loving woman who has a lot of patience to deal with shy kitties. As you watch the video, you will see that she is striving in her new environment.

Powder (white and grey with blue eyes) - He was the shelter clown. So much energy. Whenever you walked past him, he'd try to get you to come to his cage by grabbing you with his paws. If you happened to be paying attention to Duma (cage below his) instead of him, he would style your hair for you. He was one we were fearful that would be too much personality for anyone to adopt. Thank goodness we were wrong. He ended up going home with Duma thanks to his hair styling talents.

They are both doing great. It turns out that they actually love each other very much. It's hard to tell if they would get along with each other when they are in cages in a shelter. As you can see from the videos, they are a team and don't go anywhere without the other. Powder has completely brought her out of her shell and is teaching her how to misbehave just like him.

Did you know that Powder used to be my cat... But we had to get rid of him because where we live now doesn't alow cats...
