Gurk jongs training is great for developing powerful kicks, good distancing interpretation and kicking while turning different directions. This is a basic vid. Mike did good, this is about five minutes after he was introduced to the gurk jongs. More practice, better results!

When you master the principles of VT then the body with respond almost without thought. Ving Tsun/Wing Chun is a complete physics and art that teaches the body an impenetrable defense and a relentless offense. This is not a sport. It is usually considered to be the most advanced application system. Good for beginners and black belts alike VT is often imitated however the science of infighting must be understood to be truly functional. We welcome visitors in a friendly environment and encourage you to come a few times a year even from afar as well as receive teaching visits if you open a school to preserve and promote this rare gem of kung fu. • May I ask what the material of your gerk jong is made out of ? It looks like heavy pvc but is the poles and triangle made of the same material ? Thanks for sharing the video, really nice to see.. Thanks

  • Actually this one is steel pipe welded to steel plate.

If you use 3" pvc as sleeves you can set them 2' into the ground with compacted pebbles around them and then put landscaping timbers inside sticking up 2 feet (so the landscaping timber would be a total of 4'. The reason not to cement them but instead to place them in the sleeves is to allow some limited "response" movement. My favorite though is kicking the pole of a parking meter. They work great and the meter acts like a shock absorber.

  • @heartslord 500 time a day? your legs must be like steel....

  • @xxdjcharlierockxx

That was long ago when I pulled a rickshaw in Coconut Grove. ;-)

Still, my legs are kinda like long stumps! Hahah

Take care of your health the best way you know how. I've been veggie for 35 years however if that is the correct way for you, take it slow and steady.

We don't discriminate against the homeless.

  • @heartslord IM TRYING TO GO VEG BUT IM JUST SO THIN.i find i need less sleep when i dont eat meat and my bones feel stronger

  • Nice I often find myself kicking various objects in the world such as parking meters. This is a great and simple training tool that you have shown me which I will add to the temple thank you! Normally we use a wooden man to make sure the kick properly wedges energy to the ground but this will be cool as well. Perhaps I can make them taller and use them with hands as well! Thanks for sharing!

  • nice video!!If you want see my wooden dummy too.
