Squirrel vs. Big Snake Battle!

Caught this action while hiking a trail on the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. The feisty squirrel made the large snake look pretty wimpy - a letdown for snake fans everywhere.

Does make you wonder, all the squirrels and snakes DO look alike in these battles!  Would have like the snake to be a rattler or copperhead, but we're stuck with these two.

Thanks for the props on this video! I changed the title to make the snake generic, was a tossup between the bull and gopher, but we all know it's a big snake for sure.

actually against this type of snake, most of the time the squirl wins. I've seen it happen many times. The squirrels just knaw away at differet areas of the snake doing so much damage for the snake to even fight back effectively.

Dude, this is the third squirrel vs. bullsnake video I have seen. Must suck too not be a constrictor if the squirrel tango'd with a Ratsnake it would probably be screwed.
