Heres a short video of me doing a demo of a Roland JX3P analog synthesizer with its PG200 programmer. The Jx3p does not have the same filters as the Jupiter or the Juno and does not have the fat bass like a juno but makes some pretty good sounds. If you are looking to buy a vintage Roland synth I don't recommend the Jx3P but if you do want to buy one anyway, make sure it has the Pg200 programmer with it.
@NightfurMusic Yes you can, and you can do a whole lot more by syncing and cross-modulating the oscillators. Don't listen to this idiot - the JX-3P uses the same Roland IR3109 chip as the Juno / Jupiter series, and with a Kiwi Technics mod is capable of some incredible sounds.

@NightfurMusic hi there...i used to own all the junos ( not all at once, but one by one as it were) and ive owned a jx3p with pg 200 at some point too. the short answer after all that info, is NO. the oscillator/ filter structure on a jx3p in very different to the junos. it has a weaker filter and hence a less beefier bottom end. it also has a less flexible lfo, but i believe that can be modded if needed.

Great demo! Thanks for posting. If you use one of the DCO's an entire octave lower than the other can you get the "sub oscillator" sound of the Juno series?
