If the USB is supplying power to the servos then it might not be enough. Note the UBEC to the left of the proto board regulating power from the the battery. Also, as yanava mentions below you may also need to change the duration of the pulse (most likely longer).

Hi, I'm trying to drive this servos (MG995) with a PIC18F2550 using the usb, but i can't make them move, i used the same pwm to drive standard servos, can you tell me what pwm did you use?

No, non mi fiderei di questi servi su qualche cosa che potesse lasciare la terra!

I bought an unbranded servo off the streets. Will it be safe to assume that it has a center pulse of 1.5ms?

@Shaunakde
Hey, thanks for the question, but I have only ever looked at 1 type of servo - the ones on my video.
You can probably assume that an RC servo's center pulse will be 1.5ms though. Ref. wikipedia Servomechanism

@whitedemon30
Well, If you can watch a youtube video I assume you know of Google.
Don't want to elaborate any more as I'd get carried away and sound like I was disparaging an innocent comment like this. Please do look it up...
