Fishing for the Future is a short film documentary elaborating one of components of the FAO European Union (EU) Food Facility Project activities in Cambodia. The film captures own-family-fish-pond culture which the project has been supported through provision of fingerlings, prawn larvae, lime and training to Cambodian farmers. The film also features community fish refuge ponds which the project supports through rehabilitation and committee set up and training.

The FAO European Union Food Facility Project entitled "Improve the food security of farming families affected by volatile food prices", funded by the European Union, aims at reducing the effects of volatile food prices through the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO). The project focuses on sustainable increase in productivity, improved access to agricultural inputs and services, diversification in production and consumption, improved feeding family feeding practices and resources management.
