What is The Atheist Experience?

The Atheist Experience is a weekly cable access television show in Austin, Texas, geared at an atheist and non-atheist audience. The Atheist Experience is produced by the Atheist Community of Austin (ACA), a nonprofit educational corporation to develop and support the atheist community, to provide opportunities for socializing and friendship, to promote secular viewpoints, to encourage positive atheist culture, to defend the first amendment principle of state-church separation, to oppose discrimination against atheists and to work with other organizations in pursuit of common goals.

  • @Gmaster350 isnt that the point of the comment section... to discuss, argue, debate the videos? What else would the comment section before? Imagine how exciting it would be if we all just said 'great video', 'stupid video'... see now you and I can argue over why we should or should not argue on youtube comment sections.

  • Love this "argument!" Xians; why are you angry at Zeus?

  • @ChipArgyle That's fine, he pulls off bald better than he does hair. It only serves to make him look more badass as he destroys the arguments for God on public (access) TV.

  • Of course the counterargument to Matt's hair joke is that God struck him bald once he became an atheist.

  • @elibeth121 A supreme being that is above our definition of morality? That alone is immoral, and thus you've created a paradox. And yes, Ryakki has an excellent point. In fact, I'll even quote your own bible to further his point: "Happy is the one who seizes your infants and dashes them against the rocks." -Psalm 137:9

That, in case you didn't notice, is immoral by all the sane's standards.

  • @elibeth121

A character in a story book does not get a say.

Mass murder, torture, suffering, disease, famine, orders of rape, intellectual oppression, dishonesty, dishonor, and endless cruelty are immoral in my eyes, and my morality, as a real person, is superior.

  • @Ryakki You are not to question God's morality

  • @elibeth121

Christians have killed and tortured and suppressed magnitudes more innocents than those Christians who have been oppressed themselves.

I can't feel bad for people who worship hateful, evil fairy tales, and a horrific monster the source of all evil and suffering, and refuse to even consider the possibility of their ridiculous position being wrong, in spite of all the evidence in the world, while spending thousands of years in power torturing and murdering and suppressing knowledge.

  • @cycorealm35 Have you ever heard of anyone in history being imprisoned or executed for distributing copies of Grimm’s fairy tales? The bible, has suffered all of these fates. Throughout history and even today, copies of the Bible are banned and burned, and those possessing it are persecuted and imprisoned. There’s something about this ancient book that threatens and frightens those in power, especially those who use power to oppress people weaker than themselves
