Following their album "Songs beneath the Bombs", Guillaume de Chassy and Daniel Yvinec pay homage to American jazz standards from the 1930s to the 1950s with the album Wonderful World. In this more recent album, De Chassy and Yvinec create a world of urban poetry from the voices of passers-by whom the two Frenchmen convinced to sing classic Broadway show tunes by Sinatra, Garland or Nat King Cole as they strolled along the city's streets, microphone in-hand. This world is illuminated by images of New York by filmmaker Antoine Carlier.
Invited in Washington DC by the Alliance Francaise de Washington,Guillaume de Chassy, Daniel Yvinec and Antoine Carlier performed this unique concert on November 6, 2009 at the Mansion at Strathmore. This event was organized in collaboration with la Délégation Générale de l'Alliance Francaise, USA.
