Crowds welcome home heroes from Afghanistan

Union Jacks lined the streets and a crowd of hundreds looked on as the Second Battalion, the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers, staged a traditional homecoming parade. The soldiers marched through the Northumberland towns of Morpeth and Ashington yesterday, following their recent return from war-torn Helmand Province.

And the Terroist attack against Britain, was AFTER The British had invaded Afghan again and then invaded Iraq whitch was illegal and corrupt. Invading and been involved in corrupt wars and war crimes is NOT going to make Terroism stop, Its going to make things 100x worse. And all the Billions,Trillions NATO has spent in Afghan and for what? The Taliban got stronger and now NATO asks for peace!

martynrobin121, these men are employed by your department of defence to defend a country, and they march through your local streets with the upmost pride for there country as heroes would, which is what they are, these boys have seen there mates get fucked up... would u be willing to defend ur country against bombings...? im in the Royal Australian Regiment ready and are in afgahnistan fighting for our commonwealth against the taliban... not afgahni's, mostly from pak's coming from the border.

well done lads , welcome home. my grandfather lied about his age and crossed the river from gateshead to Newcastle to join the northumberland fusiliers at 15 cause his brother was already in the dli and he did not want to get caught out ! we have photos of him with his Sargent stripes aged 16! .......... the things you do when your young and daft. he would have been so proud of you all. god bless
