I think that the boy didn't like her in the first place, he liked another girl, and Gumi knew this, still, she tried to get him. The boy appreciate that and decided to give it a try with Gumi, yet he couldn't stop liking the first girl ( I think the girl was Miku). Gumi also knew this. He didn't wanted to continue hurting Gumi for dating her but liking another girl. So he decides to break up with her but sending her a message saying 'thank you', I believe. Really the boy wasn't mean or anything.

@KittyMeowing okay, I know you'll all hate me, dislike the comment, and think everything's good.. but listen to the song. The guy did nothing wrong, he just happened to think it wasn't going to work out for them, and decided it'd be best for them to just be friends. And from that, Gummi's apologizing for still liking him, even though she can accept the truth :/.. I feel like I should stick up for the guy, because they're are too many haters.
