  • Too fast... you don't focus enough on the techniques of this kata

  • Very well in general, perhaps the kagui tzuki is a litle bit high.

  • @PanicusVulgaris your right

  • @PanicusVulgaris why are they doing this shit?for what?like baby

  • i live in south germany near the lake of konstanz, the name of the city is weingarten

  • Hahaha, you're a Shotokan Ni Dan, and you just learned Tekki Shodan? That's sooo cool. I'm so happy for you, my friend :)

  • He was the examiner at my Sho Dan exam, back in february of 1984. I could see from your execution of Tekki Shodan that you've been trained in traditional Shotokan :) Dr. Jorga is one of the greatest fighters outside of Japan that I ever met. Greetings to you, and keep up good work.

Wo in Deutschland lebst Du? In welcher Stadt?

  • i am from germany, my green belt (i was 17 y.o.), dr. illja jorga was my examiner - andy

  • Hips? In Tekki Shodan???? Are you sure you're watching the right clip, my friend? Tekki Shodan is being done as if you were moving along a wall that's behind your back. Hips are supposed to stay square, in classical Kiba-Dachi. This guy is doing the Kata very well.

  • Not necessarily, rockabillysilly. What matters is the rhytm of the Kata: to have sequences of techniques that are "related" done connected fluently. In old days a standard execution of Tekki Shodan was taking about 22-23 seconds, and this guy is right on the money. Actually, in my humble opinion this is a very good old school execution. Ilija Jorga Sensei (head of Fudokan) used to do it in his young days in about 15 sec, with all techniques correctly completed and fluently connected.
