This brother is very lucky. Just reminds me when i accepted islam. I was also under some influence. I also had a copy of Quran sitting in my room and read it from time to time. Then after almost a year, i decided to finally accept Islam. I went to a Masjid and took my proper shahada, when Allah decreed it for me to become Muslim.

Don't not be misled by all sorts of temptations in life. You will return to the Lord of the heavens and the earth.
He is the One who created everything and who should be worshiped alone. No creature shares his Power and Supremacy.
His name is Allah, He is Unique, He is the Beginning and End and no one is like Him.
Search knowledge before it's too late. Because when we blow out the last breath, there is really no way back (every soul will taste death).

Dude, go to Christian Biblical scholars who have nothing to do with Islam. They will tell you the following:
- 4 Gospels were written 50, 35, 50, and 65 years after Jesus respectively - their authors are unknown (as much of the Bible)
- The Bible is full of clear contradictions unbefitting of God.
- First 3 Gospel no hint of Christ divinity, only "John", written 65 years after him
- Trinity not in the Bible, but created by later theologians
- NT canonized 337 years after Jesus, unknown authors
