i would rather we lived in a world w/o nuclear weapons, but seeing as we live in a world where even a couple of "rogue states" have them its important we keep them to deter "rogue states" from waging war on us.

The fact you have the right to hold and express your opinion lets me know that these weapons have done/are doing there job.

I hope that we never have to fire a nuclear missile; but think it would be foolish and naive to think that we could do without them.

ppl are always campaigning for the elimination of nukes but without them im almost certain we would have already seen ww3 and it would have made ww2 look like a warm up

I live opossite to where their based in faslane I live grenock so I'm not safe coz theirs 2 nuclear reactors nearby and faslane(nuclear submarines and bombs) so if it goes up I'm screwed

there hasnt been a world war lately due to the possession of these weapons and as long as they are held bythe current permenant members of the UN security council it is very unlikely they will ever be used. Let the nutcases get them then its a different case you cant deter them people and the alternative is..... If you think what I think then the alternative is unpalatable best keep the balance of power in favour of the western democracies

Yeah gfkeenan, like nobody was able to hold or express an opinion before the advent of nuclear weaponry! People like you always advocate war as a means of peace....aint working is it mate? The video is cool but anyone who says nuclear weapons are working as a deterrent is in a dream world. All they have done is make the planet more unstable and they have contributed nothing to the demise of armed agression.

if there was a nuclear war the cities would be taken out aswell so as i live in birmingham we are probably the 2nd biggest target in the uk.

anyway good point about the missiles getting taken out
