@macsqDressage8 thank you for explaining. And it makes complete sense when you put it that way :P And I understand the massive difference in the types of riding. Thank you again :)
@XoXSingingIsMyLifeXo figured I'd answer 4 you cause im bored lol. technically when jumping there should always be some release no matter how insignificant however when your barreling around a XC course at 25mph+ its a good idea not to throw the reins away because you always have to b 110% in control. when XC riding i don't tend to release but move my hands up my horses neck keeping a constant steady contact. plus hunter jumpers is completely different to XC so theres got to b some variations;)x
Heyy guys, nice riding, they're not experts but they are all good riders and lovely horses, and I don't get why some people on here just have a go *cough, cough* @katieshorse. Where is this btw?xx
I'm asking because I'm curious and I want to learn so please don't bite my head off. I'm a hunter jumper, and have always been taught to give a good relese (in case you don't use the same termonology, basically giving your horse some reign over the jump) can I ask why you ladies seem...as least to me...not to do so? Again..curiosity
I would LOVE to do this!!! My trainer says I'd be brilliant at it, but there's no where I could do this around where I live.
