Crysis on P4 @3.0ghz 1gb DDR2 ram 9400GT 512mb(BFG)

This is crysis running on all mediums at 800x600(lowest res possible) on my pc. This is the only way for me to get a stable frame rate, as of yet.

Specs:
Pentium 4 3.0ghz HT
1gb DDR2 pc4300 ram
9400GT 512mb BFG model

With fraps: 4-27fps(4 in huge firefights, usually doesn't dip below 14)
without fraps: 9-42fps(9 in huge firefights, usually doesn't dip below 16)

Game runs generously smooth during the section i played, but i promise it's not always playable. On top of that, the res makes it look like shit. Expecting another GB of ram coming my way within the week.

Yes, and no. Your CPU and RAM are great, but you need a good GPU. Crysis doesn't really care about your cpu and ram, it mostly eats up your GPU.

hey for overclocking a graphic card do u need like a healsink or water cooling for it? i'm good with cpu OC but i have no idea how to OC a Graphic card, at least not in a safe way. thanks

You don't NEED an extra cooler, but it helps in overclocking further.

hey man i play this game in very hight whit my intel p4 3.6ghz, 2gb ram, and a 9400gt super overclocked. and i get 14 to 30 fps.

ima very limted but i can i play it even on lowest setting with an intel pentium4 single core 3.0ghz with about 512 ddr ram and a vision tek radeon 2400 pro but it only has about 256 mb of video ram im just saying lowest settings

I lag more than you do on medium with amd phenom x 3 8400 and hd 4670, 2gb ram 800 mhz ddr2.. wtf?

And I run bc 2 at 60 fps on medium, serisouly wtf? Btw the crysis is the demo.
