It would have been so much easier if the parameters were just written down in the description. Ugh
-
It's "analogue modelling", not analogue. It's a digital synth.

@pigfacedoorknob check out the official Korg product page for the Microkorg, you'll see that the manufacturer specifically states "virtual analog", "analog modelling", "DSP sound generation" (digital signal processing), "DWGS" (Digital Waveform Generator System) etc.
If the Microkorg had VCOs/DCOs, VCFs, VCAs and so on, it would be MUCH more expensive and much bigger. and Korg would mention them, because it would be a major selling point.

@perspeeks Definitions don't change cause your ignorant, and what sucks about digital is that once a pure 360 degree sine wave is turned into ones and zeroes it can never go back to a pure sine wave, but what do I know with my electrical engineering degree, you're right. I'm gonna set my microkorg on fire and throw my Mac away cause I'm using Massive and Logic. I said nothing bad about digital, so who's the uppity one?

@pigfacedoorknob "analog" is just the American English spelling of "analogue". And yeah, words can have more than one meaning. It's a digital synth for crying out loud, do some research before making idiotic youtube comments.
There's not even anything wrong with digital synthesis. I don't know why you fuckers are so uppity about it.
-
@perspeeks And it's analog. Analogue means two things are similar and has nothing to do with electronics. I.E. Surimi is marketed as an analogue of crabmeat.

Try it again, except this time use the right words to describe the controls,. awful
-
@hdebbache2000 its hard to say really, because most keyboards have the same (or more) treble range as a guitar and bass range as a bass. mid range is obvious. you know what? find a good amp with a strong mid range output
-
Can you send the patch please?
-
you are a fucking dooche bag this is the most irritating turterial ive ever seen in my life ur a fucking goof clown fuc u man i hate u so much bitch i hope u get locked in syndrome.
-
ur a fuckin retard fuck you for this shitty turtiual ur a fuckin bitch ass hole fuck u u suck balls holy fuck man
is it bad to use a guitar amp (on a clean channel) with a microkorg or any other keyboard for that matter? I've heard to not use guitar amps with anything else but guitars but IDK...I can always use my bass amp, too...

Honestly I have no idea. I never use them because the sound is awful IMO, but if you manage to get a clean sound out of one I cant see why it would be bad, really.

this video is confusing
i dont know all the technical stuff about the microkorg like modulation and oscilation i just know some knobs do some things. it would be more helpful if you just dumbed it down for retards like me

Well if you dont know what is an oscillator, you've got some reading to do. No offence, but I think you must have a basic knowledge of analog synthesis before trying to make a patch. It isnt hard though, read the manual and it will be clearer. Cheers!

No offence but it would be a lot more helpful if you told us which patch to start of with.

Well, at the beginning I wrote "Start from scratch: Shift+3, and 3 again". It means that whatever patch you are on, it initializes it so that you start only with a simple saw wave and nothing setup.
