This week, Yahtzee tempts fate and risks insanity by reviewing a JRPG.

New episodes of Zero Punctuation are released every Wednesday, only at http://www.escapistmagazine.com

ABOUT ZERO PUNCTUATION
Zero Punctuation is The Escapist's groundbreaking video review series starring Ben "Yahtzee" Croshaw. Every Wednesday Zero Punctuation picks apart the games so you don't have to. • i played this game for 2 hours and didnt like it

someoen told me i didnt give it enough time...how much damn time was i supposed to give it? XD

  • SMT Persona

  • i... actually love this game.... and i love alot of the games he does so we don't have comepletly different views of fun

also i can not type while watching this again

  • 2:00 "Just pretend there's some Japanese porn here because there is no fucking way I am going to go looking for some."

    GOLD

  • I may not always agree with this guy. But I think what he has to say is funny and interesting sometimes and it gives me a new perspective on some of the games I like.

But, I agree. Fashion is lower than dirt on my list of things that interest me.

  • twewy is one of my most favourite rpgs of all time and if i had to make my three biggest complaints then they would be that it a) doesn't involve the player with the story as much as better games, b) that you can't go where you want in the game half the time because of all the wall barriers and c) it's too short

though i suppose that the last one can be explained due it being a jrpg, it has tons of different items for the player to use

  • The moment I heard yhatzee say the game wasn't turn-based (action rpg) I was sold on the game, now if only it wasn't a damn nintendo ds game.

  • @shadowhexogram plenty of people enjoy call of duty, which is basically what you just described lol all attention put into action and the developers never having heard of the words "story" or "writing"...

i mean i understand it's an FPS, so there's only so many things you can do with the story...but gosh atleast TRY....

  • Is it wierd that I heard "marshmallow fluff" & instantly forgot everything that was said because now all I can think about is how much I want some? xx

  • Definitely won't be sending yahtzee a copy of sakura wars then.... Personally though I kinda don't mind when an rpg is story heavy rather than action heavy. Usually when a lot of attention has been put to the action rather than the story the whole thing is worse off for it. Everything is carried by the story in a story I can't imagine anyone can really enjoy a game if the storytelling was average and the gameplay was also average although that's exactly what yathzee wants. true balance.
