I'm using Sculpt-a-mold on the the foam piece.
It is based on a 1/8" piece of hardboard.

Goop recipe is on my website or see eps-19 of the 30part 40k rubbled cathedral. I'll do a goopin' vid for part 4 of this series too.

I'm just using a piece of that plain packing foam for this project.

  • Have you used wall spakel? You can get tubs of the stuff cheap. They use it when dry walling. I have usedit and it works GREAT! Thanks for the vid man!!!!!

  • Pre-mixed drywall mud. I have a tub I use when I don't want to mix plaster of paris.

The stuff works great as a slurry maker. Just add water, squirt of glue, and a dollop of paint. I use it for some wall coatings and card stock roof shingle coating.

Other than that, if too thick I find it cracks and takes too long to dry.

Now , ...is "spakel" the same as "Drywall Repair/Patch" or Drywall Compound? One is plastic-ish stuff the other is plaster-ish stuff.

  • dude thats cool! whats this stuff called?

  • Sculptamold (made by Amaco)

  • I have watched this 2 times and I have no clue what the hell you are doing nor what you are making.

  • u good i have project for you.

i have arcs for you to do you think u be interested in doing it?

  • I'd say its more plasterish. Its kind of like a paste really. It dose shink if you put on to much and takes about 20 min to dry about 40min to get hard. I would say that yes it is the same as dry wall repair/ patch. I hope that helps

  • Ya its like a paste that drys by air contact. It also dosen't shrink much. By the way I must complement you on your "cococktions" You mix different chemicals like an artist mixes different color paints!!! Very cool:)

  • Very good video man! your videos are very educational!!
