My guess for the start, according from what I hear in the original:
D#m F# B G#m
Then: D#m G#m F# (x2)
G#m E D#m (w/ F# bass) F# (x2)
For the variation (at the end):

...and further x hours to learn the piece itself. At all. No I did not say I learned it within an hour. Because it wouldn't be true.

Ooooh it's almost done isn't it. GREAT JOB! And do not EVER apologize for the vocals. For me, it took an HOUR to learn to sing and play this piece at the same time and it's still not perfect. :D
