Intro to Film/Video project. We had to write a one page story and then film a short based on the narrative written. Mine involved a person who committed suicide only to realize that what they were running away from was nothing compared to where they were being sent.

  • was that a decaying dog?

loved some of the shots though

  • Yeah, that was a dog... trippy part was that everything was there when I went to film... even the torn book upstairs - was quite eerie to film amidst that stuff - thx

  • Even though it seems kinda creepy, I'd love to see that place, lol.

What was the book? Do you know?

  • Woo, that was about 7 years ago. It was some heavy stuff, just judging by the passage I found. Don't recall if the cover was still on either... I'd have to dig up the footage to scan it.

You can probably still go there, it's outside Princeton, NJ of Drake's Road (I think that's the name) all by itself in the middle of a corn field.

  • Yeah, played to the music too much... wanted some of the lingering feeling to enhance the despair aspect, thanks for the feedback though! Should of gotten more shots, think the barn is still there but I'm on the other side of the country.

  • that would be an amazin den

  • i bet man. wtf was that dead thing? a dog? was it real? or a prop of sorts. it gave me the heebie jeebies

  • thanks man, was very eerie filming the location. by myself, sunny, windy day... found those pages turned pretty much to those spots...

  • Epic dude, thats all I can say.

  • You really had some beautiful shots there. It did seem a bit long and drawn out watching it on youtube, but I bet it would be really nice on a big screen with a good sound system. Rather than getting more shots you should just try cutting it down to 3-5 minutes and see how it changes it. You can always cheat the soundtrack by shortening the songs as well as the images.
