my mom wants me to be in the marching band. one question: is this stuff hard to do while playing an instrument? please answer xD

@dew229 @adament00 but if it was done right, wouldn't it be impressive? I'm sorry, anybody can write easy drill, but if you don't take risks (even in drill writing) you'll never know how to do something impressive. This drill IS NOT meant for high school level.

@dew229 If you think this drill is difficult I suggest that you dont even consider marching in a Drum & Bugle Corps then .... visually they are by far the most demanding marching music activity out there. and would make this drill look like a cake walk pending in which organization you went to.

@TheNightcloudHATER oh dont worry its not hard. i mean it starts off kinda hard, but thats why they start you off playing basic warmups and stuff. trust me, youll do fine. soon itll be like second nature and youll only have to worry about staying on the right foot, and not have to worry about playing

@Squee36 i know plenty of 4A high schools in the south that could pull this off with a bit of work. But when football is so close to religion like it is in the south, the band has to be pretty up to snuff.

@TheNightcloudHATER oh dont worry they get you situated really easy on learning how to play and march. first w/ simple exercises, then w/ the show music (or thats how our program did it) really remember where/when to move takes a lil bit of time to get down, but honestly i just remember "ok when im playing this, or am getting ready to play that, im need to get ready to move blank steps to x" and if they have the program thatll show the movements, listen for whos playing what to help you remember
