Does she have a facebook page??? <3
-
No qualifications, she is not a scientist or dermatoligist. I would find more credibility in someones opinion who has actually helped develop these products in the industry. Plus she changes her opinion while the big companies are already ahead of her, she was once against anti-oxidants being in skincare!
To be honest i just can stand the woman, she really paints a good vs bad guy image but in the end she is just as bad pluggin her own products and using consumer ignorance to her advantage

Is it just me or does this woman appear to have a serious vendetta against big cosmetis companies? So what if L'Oreal and Estee lauder own most of the brands on the market? Good for them! They also have the money and facilities to do much more extensive research than she could ever imagine!
I know for one that L'Oreal do not test on animals, they use viro testing - which is a synthetic replica of human skin! amazing! They also employ over 4000 scientists for their research.

@dc2610 Where did you get that information from? LOL L'Oreal is owned by L'Oreal, MAC is owned by Estee Lauder

@veggiieee She has.. :)

@sealsex yes everyone's skin responds differently to products but paula reviews skin care based on the formulation, whether there are irritating ingredients, the marketing hype about organic/natural vs synthetic and stuff, i highly recommend reading her book called "the original beauty bible" it talks about everything :)

I'm a student and can't afford high-end products and seriously, I love drugstore products!

Personally i think this is a load of crap.
I use both drugstore products and higher end products so i´m not saying drugstore products are bad.
But I think you have to consider how the products preform and feel.
I usually go for higher-end products when it comes to the things that will sit closest to my skin, and for eyeshadows.
With that said, i would never ever waste my money on mascara, eye/lip-pencils, lipsticks etc. from any high-end brand.
Above all, it's about the texture of the product.

I have been wanting this book for the longest time...
Just because something is "cheap" doesn't mean it's low in quality. That depends on the company itself and their marketing strategy. Some prefer to sell their products at low costs, and some want the "high quality" appeal.
When you buy something at mac, you're not just buying the makeup. You're paying for the costs that go into packaging, training the workers at mac who help you pick out your makeup, and of course the brand name itself.
Don't just assume that cheaper = bad quality.

If it literally has the same ingredients then I think that means that it's just all in your head.
I have heard so many people complain about MAC and Clinique making them break out so I'm not going to be agreeing with your insinuation that because it made you break out it's a subpar product somehow. But you know what.. go ahead and stimulate the economy.
